Programs
Our current projects include:
(1) Find Help: Resource referrals, language services, and advocacy
(2) Resource Portal: Online listing of resources
(3) Our Stories: Preserving the unique history of local immigrant and refugee communities
(4) Leadership: Initiatives to build leadership skills among immigrant and refugee women and youth
(5) Health: Initiatives to improve the health of immigrant and refugee communities
(6) Community: Initiatives to bring together people of all backgrounds and ages
Many of our programs and events are free or low cost. We often offer transportation for the Harrisburg area, translation and/or interpretation services, and childcare at our events to increase accessibility to all immigrant and refugee women in the area.
PAIRWN is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to the well-being of immigrant and refugee communities in Pennsylvania. As the first organization in Pennsylvania to focus directly on immigrant and refugee women's issues, PAIRWN has a crucial and ground-breaking mission.
