Story Circles
A monthly gathering where immigrant and refugee women share stories, build friendships, and find a community that feels like home.
What are Story Circles?
Story Circles is a gathering open to all immigrant and refugee women in Central Pennsylvania every other month. A space where women come together to share their stories, learn from one another, and build the kind of friendships that last a lifetime.
Each Story Circle features a different topic chosen by the women themselves. Ranging from from financial wellness and stress reduction to cultural traditions, recipes, and arts and crafts. Every gathering includes a presentation, time for open sharing, and plenty of space for connection.
Isolation is one of the greatest challenges immigrant women face. Story Circles is where that changes. It is a space where every woman’s voice matters, every story deserves to be heard, and no one has to navigate this new chapter of life alone.
Women Choose the Topics
Every topic is chosen by the women in the circle — making each gathering truly responsive to what matters most to the community.
Build Real Friendships
Story Circles creates a real network of support — women who understand each other’s journeys and show up for one another.
Open to Everyone
Story Circles is open to all immigrant and refugee women — just show up.
“Everyone felt they have something to say. I can feel the spirit of empowerment there. It became a real network circle for them.”
